3:00 Jokes for morning radio hosts
All Access has a joke service called Morning Punch which provides canned jokes for morning radio hosts. The gang tries out some of the high-larious selections for our listening pleasure.

10:30 Show Biz Beat
  • George Lucas is getting married again.
  • Odd contract demands concern some that Britney Spears might be headed for another meltdown, demanding exotic animals, a duet with Vanilla Ice, and she insisted on doing her own makeup (gasp!) which did not turn out well.
  • Simon Cowell is dating Carmen Electra. Apparently Dennis Rodman approves of this, and says that of the over 2000 sex partners he has had, Carmen ranks in the top ten. How romantic!
  • Kris Humphries is dragging his feet giving Kim Kardashian a divorce. He is claiming fraud and pushing for a trial, which, if is successfully scheduled, would take place when Kim is 9 months pregnant.
  • Men's Health list of hottest women of 2013. Don't worry that we only are 4 days into the year. The gang agrees and disagrees with selections they have provided. No, Jennifer Aniston should not be on this list.
Birthdays:
Don Schula (football coach) 83
Michael Stipe (REM) 53
Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall) 50
Charlene Yi (Knocked up, This Is 40) 27
Julia Ormond (Mad Men) 47

19:30 KDOC New Year's Eve Show train wreck
Jamie Kennedy hosted this live  KDOC New Year's Eve Show show that turned out to be so bad it was funny.  The cast did not seem to know when they were back from commercials and kept dropping F-bombs that were not bleeped out. They would toss to the wrong person or video. They did not show videos that they intro'ed but then would react to it as if it were shown.  Macy Gray showed up to sing, but was.... intoxicated(?) and did not know what time it was.  Later, everyone counted down to midnight, ten seconds late. Then, a fight.

30:00 Movie Beat
After the holiday season, movie companies dump out all their crappy movies, such as:
  • A Dark Truth (K&B did an interview with Andy Garcia January 3) Although, yesterday Bean gushed over this movie to Andy Garcia, today he admits that it was not good.
  • Promised Land; Matt Damon stars in this movie.
  • The Impossible, expanded into wide release. This is about a tsunami.
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. Will anyone see this?

38:20 Matt Money Smith talks to the gang about whats going on in the sports world.

Brad is doing a standup show at the Brea Improv and is promoting ticket sales for this event. Brad is always very lively and most of his material focuses on the fact that he is a "midget."  Overall he is a pretty funny dude. Follow Brad on Twitter at @funnybrad. Listen at 52:25 for a full-blown Moment with Kevin

1:02:00 Loquecia reviews Buckwild
Described as Jersey Shore, but in West Virginia.  These crazy kids have interests that include trash slinging, swimming in the power plant water, going mudding (uh...driving in the mud), and they have rejected internet stuff in favor of hollerin'. In other words, instead of using the internet, they just holler if they need something. No show like this would be complete without a drunken brawl. The one featured on this episode resulted in an eviction.

I live in the Portland area, so the Portlandia crew is a pretty big deal for me. Enjoy this interview with the beautiful and talented Carrie, a successful musician, and star of Portlandia.

1:28:30 Phone in with Cousin Sal
Even more sports. Sal's pics for the week are: Houston -4.5 over Cincinati; Packers -7.5 over Vikings; Ravens -7 over Colts; Redskins +3 over Seahawks.
Follow Cousin Sal on Twitter @thecousinsal and see him on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

1:37:30 In Studio Visit with comedian Darryl Lenox
This visually impaired comedian is promoting his special on Starz network called Blind Ambition. The gang talks to him for a while about how he lost his sight and how he has developed as a comedian. Unfortunately Darryl does not sound very funny during his interview. At the end of the segment the gang invited him to stick around but when they came back, he was gone.

1:45:00 Closing Show Biz Beat
New stories:

  • Fans alerted Ralph that he was featured on Entertainment Tonight for the Joe Schmo 3 show.  Joe Schmo starts on January 8th; set your DVR. Ralph will also be on Loveline on Saturday night talking about the show.
  • Hugh Hefner got married to Crystal Harris on New Year's Eve, and the prenup has been discovered.
  • The gang discusses who would qualify as the "total package." They decided that Lisa May, Mila Kunis, and Sarah Shahi all are the total package.
